Presenter: Jimmy Thomas
In this beginner’s workshop we will unravel the mysteries of the digital image. We will demonstrate and explain the first steps of acquiring images from cameras and scanners. Once we have images to work with we will learn about file types, image size and resolution, as well as the different approaches to take for printing, uploading, saving, and submitting our images. We’ll discuss best practices for file organization, storage and backup, and we’ll clarify all the computer jargon we inevitably will be using. (The class will also include preparing a grant submission using RACC’s digital submission guidelines as a model. Must have basic computer skills).
